print head not moving at start of print and calibrating
Hi All,
I have a slight issue where I'm unable to get the print head to move at all when printing and calibrating, everything works perfect and has done for the past year but today it has decided to stop. Issue is you go to do a first layer print and it runs through all checks ok , goes to the left corner and loads filament which goes to the print head fine but then will not move to the right as it does to start laying the pla down, instead it stays to the left and just keeps spitting pla out a with a cracking noise which then I have to stop the printer, this also happens when you tell it to do a print it will go through all the setup and idle to the left to feed the filament but will not move when the filament has fed through the the nozzle. I'm at wits end as I can not work out why the head will not move when its heated up and ready to print.
Any advise or help would be much appreciated

I have the exact same problem. I updated the firmware to 3.9.3 -- that did nothing. My filament advances and makes a pool at the starting point. My x-y axes will move when doing the xyz calibration, so that means the motors are working, and the wiring to them is okay. I have no idea what's wrong. If you work it out please let me know -- if you can figure out a way to do that. And, yes, many power cycles, many hard resets, etc.
