Print Fan Error with Firmware 3.5.2

Hello All,

First off, I have two MK3's - and old one (purchased at the initial release), and an new one (purchased in late August 2018).

Tonight I attempted to update both of my MK3's to 3.5.2. On both machines I did a FACTORY RESET > ALL DATA and ran the calibration routine.

The newer machine worked fine and is now printing with the 3.5.2 firmware.

The older machine did NOT work...

The calibration routine stopped with the message:
Fan test
Left hotend fan?
Spinning
Not spinning

I selected "Spinning" (the fan was in fact spinning).

The printer then stopped with the message:
Selftest error !
Please check :
Front/left fans
Swapped

I double-checked both the extruder and print fan wiring and re-seated the connectors at the Einsy board. I downloaded the firmware a second time (thinking there may be corruption) and re-flashed the (old) MK3. And yes, I made certain the firmware was for the MK3 and NOT for the MK3S.

I reverted the firmware back to 3.5.1 on the old printer and the entire calibration routine passed.

I now have my newer MK3 running 3.5.2 and my older one running 3.5.1.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Re: Print Fan Error with Firmware 3.5.2

Hi,
I just tried flashing my early Mk3 with 3.5.2 - No luck, front fan fail, tried re flashing three times and calibration four times, same result.
Have gone back to 3.5.1. No problems with calibration.

There is no problem with your fan, read carefully what is on the screen. You should confirm how the fans behave.
It looks bewildering, but it is a check that the fans are properly connected.

I made the same mistake and started debugging, but when I read what was on the screen I understood that it was just a new test function.
So just confirm how the fans behave.

Not with mine, it just gives error, with no options!

Still working fine with 3.5.1
