Pre-assembled printer lost washer from E-Axis assembly
I have a prebuilt kit, and after experiencing trouble with low layer height ("ultra-detail" preset) prints getting filament clicking and ceasing to extrude, I poked around the internet for guides on how to fix the issue. Many involved checking out the bondtech extruder gears, which involved opening up and removing the swinging idler door. Well, I did so, but for the life of me, I can't get the last washer back on. The problem being that the rest of the printer is assembled, and I'm not sure what to remove to be able to reattach the idler with the washer properly. I started poking at it, but soon realized I was probably just going to cause more problems. I can't seem to figure out what screws to remove in order to reattach the idler with both washers properly. Does anyone have any advice?
For reference, this is the piece I'm trying to reattach.
Also, RE: filament clicking, the inner gear for the filament feed doesn't shift around, but the one on the idler window does, a little bit. Is that my problem with the feeding stopping?

Hi John,
Looking from the back of the printer,
you already have the top left screw loose...
if you loosen the top right screw as well, you should be able to rock the motor slightly forwards and down, to make space for the washer.

Thank you very much for your reply. Which screw are you referring to? I have now loosened the rightmost screw, but it doesn't seem to have made any effect on the motor's looseness. Am I loosening the wrong screw? I've loosened the upper right screw, and the upper left is the one for the idler door, which is loose already.

I tried again, loosening the right screw as well. Nothing seemed any different, but when I tried to reattach the idler door, I somehow seemingly managed to get it right.
I put the screw through, then the first washer, and then slid the screw over, but not through the entirety of the top of the idler, and then I tried to fit the other washer in from above, over where the screw should come out. Somehow, this time, it seemed like it worked! Either the washer dropped below the screw, or went to the side, or miraculously it got centered in the right spot. It didn't look to have moved off center, so maybe I got lucky.
Either way, I did a test print, and it came out well. I haven't tried printing at the ultra detail layer heights again yet, though, which had been the problem I was having before, but things seem to have gone swimmingly, though the idler door does feel like it rubs against something when it's closing, but it doesn't look like it's touching anything.
I updated the firmware and started using the new Prusa Slicer instead of Slic3r Prusa Edition, and the printer seems way smoother and happier. I will note that a lot of filament seemed to be stringing out before prints started- does this maybe mean I have the idler screw too loose?

If you do the Mk3S upgrade there are no washers required!
