Power Panic Loops -- Replace Power Supply, Einsy or just the power fault circuit?

Hello,

I have an MK3S+ that started life as an MK3 and was upgraded to an MK3S then to the MK3S+.  I was changing the nozzle and I shorted the thermistor, frying it.  So I replaced it.  And did it again. 🤦 I have the replacement part and I've plugged it into the Einsy and installed it in the heaterblock.  When I turn on the printer I get a POWER PANIC DETECTED message.  The machine resets and gives me the error again, repeating the cycle until I turn it off.

I've done some searching, and from what I've seen it appears to be that the fault line is always signaling a fault.  When I unplug it and turn on my printer, I don't get the POWER PANIC DETECTED message and it starts up fine.  I don't want to leave it like this, for obvious reasons.

I've taken the power supply off and checked continuity from the circuit board on the back of the plug (see attached image) to the end of the fault line, and both wires have complete continuity.  I've looked for shorts on the board, and didn't find any.  I've opened the power supply and looked around, but I didn't touch anything because of the death beam capacitor in there.  I didn't see anything going on in there.  I've checked the voltage output at the power supply and it's 24V like it should be.  The fault line measures about 200mV when the power is on, but I don't know if that's right or not.

So, here's my question.  What do I replace?  Should I replace my old silver power supply with a new black one?  Do I replace the circuit on the back of the plug (if that's even possible)?  Do I replace the Einsy (I haven't tried to diagnose anything with that yet, but it will happen before I buy anything)?  Or, am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?

Thank you!

After all of that, I figured it out. I started the printer without the fault cable installed, and the printer started to recover a print (not that it had one to recover). I stopped the print and the printer went into its idle state. I shutdown the printer, installed the fault cable, and turned the printer on. No issues.

I got it up to temp and turned it off, then finished the install of the nozzle. It's doing a PID Calibration right now, then I'll calibrate the first layer, and I'll be all set.

I figured that if someone else gave a solution it would be here for "future generations", and since I had the solution, I might as well put it here myself. 😃
