"Please press the knob to unload filament" - Knob not working during filament change mid-print
I've been trying to do multi color prints which I prepared using the PrusaSlicer.
The printer gets to the color change stage and gives the prompt "please press the knob to unload filament". However when I press the knob nothing happens, the prompt remains and the beeping continues. If I power off the printer and use the recovery feature, it returns me to the "please press the knob to unload filament" however this time it usually works fine and the filament is released. Sometimes it takes multiple restarts.
While not printing, if I select "unload filament" from the main menu, it works correctly every time.
Newly built MK3S printer, otherwise working perfectly. Latest firmware flashed and updated software.
Any ideas what is causing this issue? The power reset seems to work reliably but I don't want to rely on it every time I need to change filament color mid-print.

I would contact support (Eshop chat button) and let them eliminate the possibility of a bad switch.

Yes I will try. It just seems strange that the switch would work flawlessly from the main menu and after a restart, but would have issues mid-print. I thought I might be missing something.

check your IR sensor and it's function with and without filament in the extruder
