PLA filament jam - hotend removed and ptfe tube pulled out, jammed filament remains - best way to remove?

Hey there, new Prusa owner. I assembled my mk3s and have had it humming for several weeks, but today some clear PLA filament jammed on a print while I was out of the house. I took apart the extruder and got the hotend out per Prusa online manual instructions, hoping to pull the PTFE tube out and replace if necessary.

The tube came out, but the filament stayed:

My question is: what's the safest next step from here? It is OK to heat the nozzle as it is and pull the filament out as it warms? If not, what should I be doing?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. Any advice would be appreciated.
