PLA blob clogged the hotend, What can I do to make my printer work again?
Hello there,
few days ago I sent a print and had to leave the office after having checked the first layers.
The day after I found a massive blob of PLA that was entirely covering the hotend, I heated the nozzle, after having tried to carefullt move the blob I got the MINTEMP err so I turned off the printer and removed part of the blob with a soldering iron tip.
I think I can't get any further with the soldering iron (see pictures attached) as I am afraid to make it worse. I am afraid I broke the thermistor but I don't know how to tell as the hotend is still covered with PLA. I am also wondering if is worth to buy a new hotend.
I need this printer to work again and I am willing to spend some repairation time, I don't know where to start though, any help will be much appreciated.
thank you !
