Pat Cooling Fan Drops Nozzle Temperature

I'm trying to print PETG at 250C. When the part fan goes on the nozzle temperature drops to 240C and can't make it up to 250 again. Is anybody having this problem on a new (May 2018) MK3?

Picture of the nozzle relative to the extruder housing would be helpful. Your extruder may be mounted too low, thus the fan could be blowing directly on the nozzle.

I can take a picture but there is no adjustment of the heater block height relative to the part fan shroud. Am I misunderstanding you?

Some folks during assembly do not mount the extruder to the extruder housing correctly, and it ends up being a few mm lower than intended. I'm not saying you have this issue, I'm just saying a picture would rule that out.

Here is a picture. I'm in the middle of the print right now.

It finally made it back up to temperature. Took a good 15 minutes.
