Object printing too small

Warning: first time post, new to printing:
I need a dimensionally accurate print for a lego integration — I have an object designed to print 34 mm, but when it prints it's 33.82 mm.

After searching menus, this forum, and after viewing a few videos suggesting adjusting XY or Scale compensation, I'm not seeing that option in Prusa Slicer. Can you point me to how I can adjust my gcode export or Prusa Slicer to be accurate (other than changing my model)?

You have a 0.5% error, around 0.07% of the printable width, well under half an extrusion width.  This is within the amount of contraction you might expect as the print cools.

Either incorporate the variance into your tolerances or add a calibration factor to your master file.  If you change filament run another test print and update the calibration.

Cheerio,

@Diem Thank you for your response! I believe this is what I'm asking for ... how do you add a calibration factor to master file?

@seth-taylor

XY size compensation can be found under, Print Settings/Advanced/Slicing/ XY size Compensation:

The type of material your using will change the shrink percentage. example ABS vs PETG and such.

Lego's are made from ABS, if you search google for "ABS shrinkage compensation" you will find a tremendous amount of information. You can find this for other filament types as well, but keep in mind, the shrinkage can be brand specific.

I'm struggling with printed part size results smaller than designed that is different for each filament/brand. I'm using PrusaSlicer 2.7.4.  I can not find the settings you indicated in the PrusaSlicer.  It seems to me that I should be able to adjust the x/y/z percents by filament type and brand.  Am I missing something?
