ps: Retraction and various other settings never worked to resolve the issue for me, nor did changing retraction settings work reliably for others that have had the issue. Recently someone mentioned printing at 125% speed did work. Changing the heat break is simple, easy, and will 100% eliminate the chance the heat break is the issue. The only caveat is Prusa swears the step is needed for the MMU: however, several people who have had this issue own MMU's and found zero problems after swapping in the stock E3D heat break. As in all things, ymmv.

I have both the titanium and standard heatbreak. Which one do you guys suggest?

Titanium is a better thermal insulator - and reduces the heat load the heat sink needs to dump. Over all (therorectically) improves (lowers) temps at the PTFE and above (according to E3D - the folk who designed the hot end). Recommended for printing at higher temps for this reason.

Thanks.  I thought so.  I just want to clarify.  I have been using titanium more recently.   Not a dramatic difference, but it appears superior.  It works and does not require changes to the profile settings.

I have the titanium. It also requires no changes in any profiles; a direct form/fit replacement.

Changed it out but now I'm getting random blobs. It might be the material but I've had good luck with it in the past and it is new. It almost seems like the temp is off (too high). PLA 210c like always. All standard-setting except the 1st layer that I slow down a bit.

A pic of a random blob, please. And check for leaks coming from the nozzle threads and heat break threads above the heater block.

Yeah, I chucked it out the window. 

No, I just had to walk away from it for a day or so. I've been screwing with it all week and it's driving me nuts. 

I did look around the nozzle and heatpipe and they look fine.

Check your fan is working properly and there is no dust blocking it. Looking at the photo the nozzle should be further "inside" the heat block and the heat break tight against it but the "narrow" piece of heat break shouldn't be inside the heat block, that *might* be contributing to the heat creep that is causing blockages.
