New SuperPINDA on MK3S
My MK3S' PINDA suddenly died for no reason so printer can't print at all (self test fails, Z calibration fails when head reaches top).
So I ordered MK3S to MK3S+ upgrade kit because it also contains new PINDA.
However the kit requires to print the parts first so I can't do the upgrade.
I was wondering, will firmare work correctly if I replace only PINDA first and then try to print the parts for the remaining upgrade? Maybe it works differently with MK3S+ than with MK3S and it will assume + when it sees new PINDA...
Installing SuperPINDA only works
Replacing the just the super pinda works fine with no issues.
The recommendation for the MK3S to MK3S+ upgrade was not to do it unless you printer has issues printing because you won't gain any printing improvements.
Unless you were having other printing problems, I would install the super pinda, make sure you have the current firmware installed and print the upgrade parts for future use.
I wouldn't install them until you have to do other issues with the printer that require taking it apart.
You can just replace the SuperPinda, then print whatever parts you want to print. I didn't bother with the x axis and y axis upgrades as everything was working fine. I did do the extruder upgrade though.
