New assembled printer arrived, is LOUD and has clicking from PSU?

I purcahsed this printer with the promise of the very quiet operation as I'm going to be using it in my office that I sit in for 9+ hours per day.

Right out of the box I did a firmware upgrade to the latest version for good measure, stepped through normal calibration on first power on, and loaded filament for a test print and boy is it LOUD when it's moving in certain directions.

Take a listen here:
Another users video that sounds the same...

Also I noticed a loud clicking noise from the PSU of the printer before I started printing. I can't hear it over how loud the printer is right now but that's not saying a lot with how loud this thing sounds about 10 feet away from me.

Lastly, I noticed mine doesn't have a Noctua fan on it?
Unless somehow they're shipping generic looking black noctua fans now?

Your video sounds like my printer too. Also sounds like other mk3 I saw on YouTube. I’m new to 3d printer but from what I read, this is considered quiet compared to other printers. Guess it’s relative. You can try running things in stealth mode to make it more quiet. It won’t detect skipped steps but will be more quiet.

Psu clicking is also normal. Annoying but normal. Some people replaced their psus with others that that don’t have the clicking. However their fan is louder so they either replaced the fan of the psu or added some resistor to make it go slower and therefore more quiet.

The Mk 3 is not a silent machine. In comparison to the earlier Mk 2/S it is very quiet indeed. But you have to understand the earlier models often sounded like a cnc router in the corner of the room.

So Mk 3 is comparatively very quiet. But not "sit in the office and not make a sound" quiet.

If you slow it down, it will be quieter. Maybe for the OP that's a good trade-off?

Did the same. 40-50mm/s , part cooling fan to 80%. I can sit next to it without ear plugs the whole day long.
The default slicer options are obviously optimized for speed.

Has the OP tried activating stealth mode? That might help some.
