Need to get jammed filament out of hotend

Hi,

I had a jam in the hotend of my prusa, tried removing the filament normally but broke off within the extruder with nothing to grip onto. (Photo attached) I now can't push it through or pull it out. Any help would be amazing.

Cheers

Joe

Hi Joe,
It looks like you can see the filament inside the bondtech access chamber,
can you heat the extruder to say, the ASA temperature, and grip the filament with long nosed pliers inside the bondtech access chamber  then try moving it up or down to extract the broken part?

If this doesn't work, you could try cutting the filament flush with the top of the PTFE tube inside the bondtech access chamber, and then, with the extruder Hot, try pressing the 1.5mm allen key in theough the filament path, past the bondtech gear, and onto the top of the cut filament, then press firmly to start the filament moving,
Once you have moved the filament, you can re assemble the bondtech tension screw and spring, and try loading a new filament

@joantabb

Hi Joan,

Thanks for the suggestions. I used an allen key to push the filament past the bondtech gears, and then used the load filament function to push the rest through.

Thanks

Joe
