Need help identifying component on Einsy board
Hello,
My x-axis is not working anymore. I first believed it was a bad driver, but then noticed I accidentaly lost a small component on my Einsy board, next to the X-axis connector. Probably while trying to access the screw I must've hit it and lost it.
Could someone please help me identify the missing component on the following picture ?
Thank you.
RE: Need help identifying component on Einsy board
Probably a resistor - but FB indicates something else - but to have knocked it off the board you really must have done other damage. Probably tore loose the solder pad it attaches to. Not to mention other damage to arts around it. Soldering a new/replacement part will also be a bit challenging if you haven't worked with SMT parts and have appropriate tools to replace parts.
But - here's the info you'd need to figure out what is missing (if you have a 1.0 board).

I can't clearly see the problem on your photo, but I have added some photos of my replacement Einsy:

Thanks.
Somehow I missed this pdf on github. It's indeed that component. I have the 1.1 board but it's exactly same 🙂
The solder pads seems ok, I can see solder on both of them still, looks like the component detached from it's solder ? Strange...
I'm equiped to solder SMD components. I prefer trying with a new 10 cents component than to buy a whole new board 🙂
Thank you for the help 😉

@maximel
Good luck! Maybe you will report back to us afterwards.

The same location on GitHub has the 1.1 schematics and parts lists ... you'll just need to do a little backtracking to find them. But the ferrite bead is probably the same one.

as @tim-m30 already opened, maybe you will find helpful information here:

Hello,
Just a quick update on my issue. Here you can see a picture of my missing component. As you can see the solder is still present. I replaced with a new component (part number BLM18KG121TN1D) and now it works again 🙂
Thanks for your help everyobody!
