my prints won't stick to the printbed
I have a prusa i3 mk3 and for 8 months it is running very good, but now prints wont stick anymore.
i calibrated it, cleaned the printbed and the nozzle and also i used new filament but the prints just won't stick
What am i doing wrong?

Have you re-zeroed the Z? It tends to shift a little over time.

yes i did but even on the first layer calibration the filament comes loose

i had the same issue for a long time, lay some masking tape down on the steel plate. make sure you adjust the live z on your first layer cal. it will work

Sounds like you both need to clean your beds... no-additives (Scents, lotions) dish soap and hot water. Rinse well, and don't touch the bed surface, only the edges.

i had the same issue for a long time, lay some masking tape down on the steel plate. make sure you adjust the live z on your first layer cal. it will work
the best prep for your bed is to wash it with warm water and dawn dish soap (in the UK use Fairy liquid) by using a wad of clean kitchen paper towel dampen with warm water and put a dollop of Dawn on the pad and scrub (i do it twice at 90 deg to each other holding the plate by the edge as if it is a phonograph record, rinse under running water and dry with clean paper towel keep touching only by the edge... I do this every other full day of printing with both kinds of plate.

don't use tape or glue or anything on your plate unless it is to reduce adhesion for printing plastics that stick too hard to the plate like ABS or Flex (or PETG on the smooth plate)

I tried to delete the first version of the above post when rather than modify a new version was created but now both versions are set to awaiting moderation.

I had a problem with poor adhesion/warping after switching to PETG and I started printing large parts. That's when I started using hair spray and that solved the problem. The PETG actually stuck too well at first on a new plate and removed some of the plate surface. I think this is what lead to the bad adhesion. Hair spray not only improves adhesion, but also works as a release agent. For cleaning I use isopropyl alcohol and I don't get it super clean each time, I just wipe it down with isopropyl, let it dry, add some hairspray and print. If you don't have hair spray then try glue stick.
