I hope this is PLA, not PETG. If this is PETG, you get to do this with both blog and extruder body having same melt point.

If you turn on the hot end, let the cooling fan blow over the heat sink, or you will melt your extruder body.

I would use a hot air pencil set to 180C and use that to soften just the blob. That requires you have a hot air pencil. I use an Aoyue 968A+ SMD Digital Hot Air Rework Station for PC board rework, but its soldering pencil and hot air tool are unparalleled for tightly controlled plastic melting.

I tryed the hot end version, the blob wars to big no chance.
bud im on a good way, i dismantled the hole extruder and drilled holes in the blob.
now im in progress with a hotair blower and a sidecutter.

got like 50% down, will do that method to 25 % and then rebuild it to heat the nozzle.
hope thats a good plan.

nope the cables are full covert in pla.
what do you think, could i saw a cubik around the cables and let it be like that? in that way there is no chance to break them.
or are the safety issue with that?

So i came this far.

Over the process i became trust issues with the covert parts of my hotend, i don't want to risk my printer or my family.

The Heatsink is free and looks good, bud the issues i got with the cables and the block.

So i looked for new parts, and why not upgrade.

What i had in mind : v6 Plated Copper Heater Block, Capricorn Bowden Tubing and V6 Titanium Heat Break (1.75mm) (Nozzle X is already on the way)

Somebody got experience with the combination? How hot can i go with that?

And what about the printed part? i think its to deformed.

I think when I got my initiation blob my printed part got messed up abit also, but I left it in, its still working. maybe I just got lucky. I never did change my extruder body when I installed my mmu. guess its on my list...

and when I got my blob I blame it on theeekkkiiinnng ( 3rd party textured sheet company) that stupid sheet couldn't hold a parint well after the 5th print of so.

nice. it's hard to tell about the wires, but i would say if a thermistor wires are bad it will let you know.

my wires look like hell after my blob, i have not changed it out yet, i did order an extra and it's waiting. but that was months ago.

Sooo, printer isn´t operating since the blob.
Found the error now, the tube in the hotend got deformed.
The hotend wasn´t clogged (i could see through ) but no filament transport.

Have a look on the tubing, it got compress into the passiv cooling rips.

It looks like it might be good enough for a temporary situation. Try assembling the extruder when you have finished removing the blob and print replacement extruder plastic parts in black PETG. The print fan nozzle will need to be printed in ABS, PC, Greentec Pro or any other material with a high temperature resistance.

Now, that is a blob. I had a smaller one. Tweezers and a heat gun worked for me.
