MMU does not reference. Cant load filament.

I was having some loading problems at the nozzle and did a cold pull. But while trying to get the print job to start a million times, It seems the MMU no longer references. By that I mean... when it goes to the ends and finds it's place.  The screw does not move at all when selecting a Load Filament command.

Any suggestions on what to do?

So I guess they call it "Home" not "reference" (on a cnc machine they mean the same thing).
The MMU2 will not Home or move to any of the guide locations.  I should mention it was working fine since new (10 months).
I checked the connections and the fuses. All looks good.
The drive screw moves smooth when the power is off.
Do the people from Pursa come here to help, or are we on our own once we buy these?

Prusa offers a Life support chat on the shop site. You should tell them your issue there. Is your MMU completely dead or does it show signs of life (indication lights?). What happens if you restart the MMU when pressing that hidden button where you need some toothpick or small screw driver to press it?

Moving the selector and loading Filament (not to the nozzle but to the filament sensor on the selector) can be done with the 3 enigmatic buttons onthe MMU. I always load filaments that way. Try pressing the right most of the three buttons. It should home then. Does it do so?

It does indeed power up. Yes it lights up. It is not dead. What it does not do is "home". Pressed the hidden reset button and it made no difference.  I get a single green light. If I try to load a specific filament using the controller interface,  all the led's flash red.  Pressing the 3 buttons on the unit does not fix the problem. As I stated... It Does Not Home. Nor can I use those buttons to select a filament to load.
Are there any other tests I can perform on the drive for the guide selection MMU?

OK, I'll bite. What is Life Support Chat and where does one find it?

'Life' support looks like an text-prediction issue ...

For support: Log into your Eshop account, navigate to Help and live chat is at bottom right in most browsers. If not you may need to disable your ad-blocker temporarily.

Cheerio,

Hey, why be suspicious about chat support, you bought a (relatively) expensive printer that include access to the help desk. If I had a Prusa I'd be annoying the piss out of them, looking for tips , freebees etc.

RE:

If all the lights flash red, this sounds like the MMU believes the filament path is blocked. Have you checked the filament sensor of the selector. What is it's reading? Is it zero? Is it responsive when you trigger the ball with a piece of filament from the front?

Another reason for the flashing can be that the selector is actually really physically blocked (by strings or filament). I forgot, have you tried moving the selector screw when the MMU is turned off? Is it blocked or does the selector move?
