MK3S+ Default Flow Keeps Changing to 95%

The printer's on-screen menu shows 100% flow rate until a print starts, then it changes to 95% right after completing the mesh bed leveling sequence. I've had to manually change it back at the beginning of every print for the past couple of weeks (even before flashing to 3.12.2-57130). I can't find anywhere that I can change the setting back to 100% and make it stick. This anomaly occurs with every filament I've tried from the PrusaSlicer drop-down, and from my own custom filament settings.

I checked settings for pre-print gcode in Octoprint (1.9) and PrusaSlicer (2.5, 2.6), and there's no line entry in the print files that would force the change.

I suppose I could just start adding a pre-print command to override the command either in the slicer or Octoprint, but that's not a very elegant solution.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rick

MK3S+ - Firmware is 3.12.2-5713

Octoprint 1.9

PrusaSlicer 2.5 and 2.6

There is a line like this, in your Printer settings>Custom Gcode>Start Gcode
M221 S{if layer_height<0.075}100{else}95{endif}

take it out, or comment it out then save the profile as a custom profile.

Buuut... do you need to take it out?
It's there for a reason.

Joan,

Thanks for this information!

To your question “do you need to take it out?”  The issue first became obvious when I started printing an RC airplane using LW-PLA. The under extrusion was a real problem.

I take your point, I’m not sure I had an issue using regular filaments, even though the printer was running at 95%. I should not try to “fix” the printer, but just fix my setting for LW-PLA.

Thank you again,

Rick
