mk3s buzzing noise
makes buzzing noise when it moves x and y axis at same time. what needs adjustment?
Your description of the problem .. 🙂
Give us more detail, is this a new machine? Kit? Prebuilt? Modified? What sort of buzz? Single pitch or variable? Continuous or intermittent? Fixed volume? Has the printer been OK until recently or is this an old problem? Is it resonating the workbench? Does it stop if you rest a finger on the print-bed?
Etc.
Cheerio,
RE: mk3s buzzing noise
machine about 2 years old. Kit No mods Buzz is single pitch but only when head moves diagonally ( b0th x and y moving together to move diagonally.
RE:
I've noticed an almost-musical tone when the X and Y are drawing some arcs.
I've noticed this on other brands of printers as well.
I would consider this normal, but I don't know about your particular case.
Can you provide a video clip with sound?
Cheerio,
RE: mk3s buzzing noise
I can tell you that my printer makes a buzzing sounds sometimes and it seems that the printer cover that over the over the control panel vibrates. You can’t see it (well, I can’t) but when I put a finger on it it stops. Something that’s been on my list for a while to do something about but haven’t got around to yet.
Could this be what you’re hearing?
RE: mk3s buzzing noise
Now it does seem more musical in tone. I guess its normal. I just thought something was loose.
Thanks for the help! 😀

On my printers, both the Prusa and Ultimaker, the sound varies in pitch as it traces out an arc or circle.
I always assumed that it was just the frequency that they used to pulse the steppers.
A diagonal move on mine is more of a 'whooooosh' than a buzz or tone.
