Hi, I had the same problem. I just heat the nozzle up, put some filament again, and the "unload filament" option came back in the menu again. I cooled down the nozzle and the option still there. Then, I don't know how and why, but probably there is a issue in the firmware related to the filament sensor, maybe?

I am having the same issue after updating the firmware.  Did you find a way to resolve?

To me Unload fillement dissapeared when I replace the old piece (black with metal ball) with the orange new one recomended by Prusa

Has there been any resolution to this? I tried upgrading to the last firmware since turning it on and off multiple times does not change things. New firmware doesn't bring back the menu item. Does this happen if the filament sensor fails?

Disassembling the idler every time I want to change filaments is not what I want to be doing.

With FW 3.14.0 and newer the Load - and Unload filament menu are shown depending on the state of the filament sensor.

When the Filament sensor detects filament, the Unload filament menu is shown.

When NO filament is detected, the Load filament menu is shown.

This was implemented as some users reported false actions, probably slight turn of the knob during pressing it, and the filament has been unloaded instead of being loaded or the other way around.

At this moment you can get both menus shown when you disable the filament sensor.
