Lost Power Restart not working.

I literally just lost power 3hrs into a 7hr print.

Power was off for under 30 seconds and when it can back on I did not get the option to restart my print.

I thought that I would have been asked to restart or thats what I take from this article  https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/power-panic_2092

I did do a firmware update 2 days ago so I am on the current release.

Is there anything I can do other than start again? If not what is the panic power for?

RE: Lost Power Restart not working.

Are you printing from a sd-card? Or an Octopi?

Power panic only works when printing from a sd-card.

Even an Octopi connected to only monitor the printer will mess up power panic.

@baklin

SD card.

It is a stock standard setup as it was a Christmas present.

Maybe when we get more comfortable with printing then we might start looking at enhancements.

Same issue here. There was a power outage at home for about 5min and there was no option to restart/resume the print. It's the second time this happens and the PowerPanic was not triggered 😭

Check in settings that it is enabled.  (power failure detect).  If it is not enabled, enable it.  If it is not available to enable then it means the sensor is not connnected correctly inside of the einsey or the sensor is faulty (probably not that if it is  new)

@dan-rogers

OK.

So I check step 32 of the build and the power panic is connected in the correct plugs at both the power supply and einsey.

I did the test for power panic from this page https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/testing-safety-features-mk3-mk3s_2079/

And it worked!!!!

I have not changed a thing so explain why it worked when I did a 4 minute test pattern and not when I was printing a 7hr item??

I also have not found the "power failure detect" setting. I have a "crash detect" but I don't think that is the same thing!
