lost calibration after printing
Hello
After printing, my MK3s lost the Y calibration for the following print... The only way for me is to push manually the bed to the real place (I know, it's not a good thing).
Have you an idea?
Thanh you
Phil
Re: lost calibration after printing
Hi Phillippe,
loss of Home position on a Mk3 is usually due to friction or resistance to movement,
when the printer is idle, your Y platform should move backwards and forwards with little resistance,
problems can be caused by :
Loose screws on the motor pulley... one screw should be tightened against the flat on the motor shaft. the other should then be tightened against the round part of the shaft.
poor belt alignment causing resistance to movement
poor cable management causing resistance to movement
something obstructing the Y platform movement...
over tightening the Y belt idler mounting bolt
Faulty Y belt idler bearing,
y Belt idler bearing not centred in idler roller
lack of lubrication in the Linear bearings,
Faulty linear bearings
over tightening the u-bolts on linear bearings
using misaligned bearing housings instead of u-bolts.
and there are probably some possibilities i have missed

Re: lost calibration after printing
I found the solution, thanks to your advice.
The engine pulley was too close to the engine and there was friction.
I had retouched this setting a few days ago because I found that the belt was not aligned well. The best is the enemy of good...
Thank you for help
Best regards
