looses its Y Brain

Looking for some help or suggestions  My mk3s will randomly loose its y Memory .. what i mean is randomly between prints it will loose where it thinks it is .  It does this during or just after it does its mesh bed measurements before it starts to print , it then causes a crash as it tries to drive the bed to far -y and goes into to crash detect and the lcd screen becomes all garbled and the printer needs a power down to clear .. I then power up printer select move to home ..a couple times to get it back in right position  and can resume printing ..It will run for days hours  before it does it again ..Always just at the start of a print while doing bed measurement or just after but before any printing . I have done a re-calibration of xyz and will randonly do same thing . Any suggestions

RE: looses its Y Brain

Try to eliminate a Y crash as the cause.

Turn the printer off and move the print bed to both Y extremes. Feel carefully for any binding, either direction.

Watch underneath and make sure no zip ties can get hit. Watch the bed cables and make sure they do not flex at the connector and move freely.

Older versions of the firmware had a bug where certain error conditions would switch to an unavailable language. I would not worry about the garbled screen - just yet.

no binding belt tension is where it should be  no zip ties or cables binding everything moves freely  bearings good ...seems to me a software glitch or a motor problem with feed back ...checked all connections  running latest firmware

Next check Y motor gear and make sure it is not slipping. That is about all for my Y axis check list...
