LCD Showing 75% Squares

Any ideas on what might cause this?  After a print finished the LCD screen was in this state and has stayed that way.  I've unplugged the power cable, removed the OctoPi.  Flashed the latest firmware, and checked the connections on the LCD board.  I have not tried replacing cables or checking RAMBo board connections yet (that's next).  I'm guessing a part has to be replaced, but given that they are not cheap I'm trying to determine if its the LCD board/screen, the RAMBo, or the cables.  Any additional ideas would be appreciated.

and checked the connections on the LCD board.

If you haven't yet, re-seat the ribbon cable connectors on both ends.  If that doesn't work, try re-seating all the remaining connections:  it's a cheap and easy first step.

This ended up being a bad LCD screen that need to be replaced.
