layers editing not forcing a 'slice now'
Layers editing does not seem to be forcing a 'slice now' option.
As I modify layers with the layers editing side bar tool I would think that I would get the option to 'slice now'. Even a ctrl+r does nothing.
And the model remains greyed.
What am I missing?

You are working with layered design in an image editing software, and when you edit layers with the layers editing tool, you are not seeing the option to "slice now". Additionally, the model remains greyed out, and a Ctrl+R does not seem to do anything. To resolve the issue, check if the "slice now" option is enabled and verify the layer order.

You are still in the layer editing tool, as such it doesn't know when you will finish editing. You need to exit the tool before the model is no longer shown as grey or for the other tools /functions to work.
