Janky i3 MK3 from eBay help please?

So............

Forgive my idiocracy, however I have always been a cheap Chinese junk kind of fella until sometime in the last few weeks I got sick of the constant failures and realization that my business is falling terribly behind due to aforementioned Chinese junk. So, I took it upon myself to save... well not much at all in the long run in getting myself hooked up with this "good-as-used!" "mk3" off of eBay titled "Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ Or MK2 Read Description". I took interest in this for reasons I simply cannot remember. In the images of the listing I found this individual was kind enough to include a picture of a genuine Prusa Research label. I do a bit more internetting and everything seemed to at the very least check out that this machine was in fact just a basic plain-jane mk3. I do however take notice the slight differences in extruder assembly being much closelier to the mk3s+ and a few other conflicting landmarks that pretty much had my already limited knowledge of Prusa tech all over the place. Now let me be clear, I am no stranger to high end mods. I am actually quite familiar (in the chinese junk realm) I have a whole business assisting the (chinese junk) public with high-end mods on their machines(chinese junk). However now that I have this poor girl in hand I am realizing I am rather boned in the boning department. All the frame, xyz and extruder bits look good, however the problem inherent is much deeper. I think to myself, "Self? Lets update this machine with current fw like we do on all the other machines in the family and at least start there." So I do just that and then everything takes a violent turn for the worse. The end result in this venture is the blue sqaures of fate across the display. So I try one more lesser fw off of Prusa Official and still nothing. I did a little more internetting and with no luck. I started thinking about this knowing that I have the legit Prusa badge of honour accounting for the MK3. I somewhere got the idea to look up the differences in mainboard between the MK3/s/+ and noticed all the boards listed, including the MK3 board are all black. The board on my fancy new machine is green. Well, what the heck is going on there? In the cheap chinese junk world of printing, if you have a green ic, you have an earlier model. Everyone knows the black boards are much more recent. So now I have to go down the rabbit hole of trying to discern what this pig is running. I open the case, start moving the rats nest of wires around (remember she has all the fixins on the extruder) and come to find a Ramb01.3. Not the Einsy. Not at MK3 at all. So now, I am bewildered, lost, beaten, pulp-y? I took a dive in trying to flash the MK2.5 fw in. The net result in this effort was "Original Prusa Prusa Research". Stuck, wont go away, resets, power cycling, reflash, all the usual efforts one might endure. At this point I give up on life entirely because the next step in this process is to take my last beating to the ego and try flashing the MK2 build offered on the site. The flash takes, and now I finally have my home menu. What a bittersweet relief. Yes, I definitely am rather disappointed. I got myself a mega-swap I think......... I ordered the original MK3 board. I will be here in 11-15 business weeks. Cool?

Anyways folks,

Not sure the purpose of this synopses. I got lost in my frustration banging on my keyboard. Has anyone else heard of such tomfoolery? Is it common to down?grade? a mainboard? Is this machine just been hobbled together? I regret not having a more better understand and mental catalogue of all the iterations of Prusa tech. Now Im struggling to get the bed calibrated. I keep getting xyz calibration failures.
