Is this a clog?

I've had my printer for months.  I sometimes get a loud clicking noise on and off for my last 10 prints or so.  Sometimes just one, sometimes a lot at about 1 second intervals.  Then it goes away for 30 minutes or more and maybe comes back, maybe not.  I opened up the part with the rollers and don't see any debris or wear on the rollers.  Output is never affected.  It's not from my spool - I can cut the filament so there's no spool and get the same noise.  If I'm holding the filament between my fingers I can feel movement when I hear the noise.   New symptom =  I did a large print yesterday, +24 hours - worked great.  Right after that on the next print no filament came out.  I removed the filament and every time I try to add more it's get to about where the nozzle is and stops.  I remove it with no problems and try again and it gets stuck at the same place.  Every time.

Are these 2 separate issues and just 1 problem?  And what might fix it (them?)

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

A couple of things to try first:

It could be a partial clog.

Open the idler, heat to printing temperature and manually push some filament through the hotend.  Finish with a fairly hard push and immediately pull the filament out.

If this doesn't help try a cold pull:  https://help.prusa3d.com/article/cold-pull-mk3s-mk2-5s_2075

Cheerio,
