Is it possible to turn off beeping for THERMAL ANOMALY?
I've put 0.6mm CHT nozzles on two of my machines, and I'm pushing a lot of filament through (20mm/s volumetric flow). The amount of filament going through is double what I used to max out the printers with on a standard 0.4 nozzle. Since doing this, the machine beeps fairly regularly at me, telling me THERMAL ANOMALY. It doesn't stop working, but the beeping is a problem, as it's disturbing people who are working. I'm pretty sure it's happening because the pattern of heating on the hot end is different now that so much plastic is being pushed out.
Is there any way to disable the beeping? The temperature is staying within +/- 3 degrees of target, so it's not an issue of something failing. I need to figure out how to keep this from making so much noise while printing.

Go to the printer's Sound menu option.
There you have a choice of 4 options.
Loud / Once / Silent / Assist
I think if you choose silent that your problem is solved.
Just keep in mind that all warnings will then no longer be audible.

If you are on firmware 3.12.xx, did you perform the thermal model calibration? The warnings are for that and went away for me after I did that. Although I was not using CHT nozzles then.

Unfortunately this won't work, as I do want the notifications when the filament runs out. I just don't want it to beep with the thermal anomaly warnings, which weren't happening when I was printing with smaller nozzles and a lower volumetric flow.

I did do the calibration after I updated the firmware, and when I was using the standard 0.4 nozzles I wasn't getting any of the warnings. It's happening now when the machine is printing with a lot of plastic flowing through the nozzle. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the thermal properties of the hot end when it's melting that much plastic, but there's no way to calibrate for that, since all of the calibrations happen when it's not pushing any material through.
I just wish I could turn off the beeping, it's going to become a real problem. I already put blue tac over the speaker to reduce the volume when it does beep, but it's loud enough to interfere with the people who are working in the next room.

Then I would try to go back to firmware 3.11 and see if the problem persists. I did that after I installed the Revo Six on my MK3S. There is no problem with that firmware for me and I used it for a long time before 3.12 came out. You will need to disable the check for the newest firmware in PrusaSlicer (under Custom G-Code for the printer) to avoid another nasty beep then. 🙂

I found the following information on the prusa site.
The thermal model protection can be disabled by connecting the printer to your computer (Octoprint, PuTTY...), and sending M310 S0.
An additional M500 will save the setting and the Thermal model protection will remain disabled after the next restart.
Maybe it also works if you put the M310 S0 and M500 in the start g-code of the prusaslicer.

I'm having this issue using the new Revo 1.13.
It works fine for the 0.25, 0.4 and 0.6 nozzle. But when I do a fast 0.8mm print, the temperature stability drops to about +-1C at which point it's randomly beeping every few minutes. But still printing fine.
I want the thermal runaway protection if it gets out of control. but the warning beeps are un-neccessary and super annoying

I am running `E3DREVO_fw_MK3_3_13_1_6876.hex` and have the same issue.
As things stand, I feel like my options are either A) Disable thermal protection all together or B) Avoid using 0.8n. Neither seem like great options.
My dream would be for thermal protection to be "smart" enough to understand the behavior of 0.8n Revo nozzles - maybe this is too much to ask for. At minimum, I wish that the "Thermal Anomaly" warning would respect the `Loud / Once / Silent / Assist` user preference.

Getting lots of anomalies because of my silicon sock, does the old thermal runaway alarm still trigger if i send these commands ? don't want the house to burn down if the thermistor actually breaks
