Initial layer height is stuck at .15mm

I've flashed the firmware which didn't work. When I set the initial layer height to .05mm, .1mm or .2mm, slice the gcode and double check to see the first layer is as I set it. I put it in the printer and it reads in the top right hand corner of the LCD screen the first layer height is .15mm. I've printed in .05mm and .1mm initial layer heights in the past and also when I print in a .2mm layer height the initial layer is .2mm as well. Is this a firmware update? If so how can I change this so I can print small things that require I start at a lower layer height?

The minimum layer height for layer 1 is 0.15mm. This is why 0.2mm works but lower values don't.

Thanks, a redditor also pointed this out to me that the minimum z height on the first layer is hard-coded at .15mm.

It's important that I be able to print an initial layer height a bit lower than that so I figured I'd need to edit that part out of the firmware. 

I'm midway through setting up arduino to edit that out by following this guide:  https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware#using-arduino

Where it reads 'c. Modify compiler flags in platform.txt file' in my directory I'm missing the 'hardware' folder in that sequence.

You don't happen to know anything about setting up arduino to edit firmware do you? I think it might need a new post.
