Increasing the maximum part cooling fan speed
The 5015 fan on the MK3S+ seems to generate very little airflow compared to the 5015 fans on my other printers. As such the print quality suffers quite a bit. Is it possible to crank the fan speed by pushing it past 100% in the settings menu or in the slicer software? I don't mind noise, but I'm trying to get better prints especially for overhangs.
What's a safe percentage to push the fan past 100% in settings/slicer, if that's possible?
Thank you
RE: Increasing the maximum part cooling fan speed
No 100% is maximum. Fans are driven by PWM. 0% is basically off, 100% if power on all the time. Intermediate speed % are different values of off/on at high speeds.
That way the fan motor always sees the correct voltage but the average is different, therefore you get different speeds (ok I simplified that a bit lol). At 100% its being supplied 5v all the time.
If your 5015 fans aren't working as well then are they identical ? I too tried a dual 5015 setup and it didn't perform as well as the RHD shroud with the stock fan. Then again the 12v version of the 5015 on my Cr10 puts both to shame and it can do 150mm bridges.
