i3 MK3S - Print fan noise
Hi,
I've bought my MK3s 5 months ago and my print fan started making rattling noises , sounding kind of "unhealthy". Can you tell me where I can purchase the original replacement or an alternative?
Further questions: The fan's voltage rating is 5 V correct? What is the current rating of the mainboard for the print fan?
Thank you in advance!
Greetings Daniel

I'm not sure about alternative sources, but if you open a chat with Prusa Support from the estore, they should be able to take care of you. It should be covered under the original warranty if faulty....and under normal circumstances have spares available to order. Have you checked to make sure the blades aren't hitting anything and that the screws aren't over-tightened?
Is your printer grinding? Bearings squeaking? Motors smoking?
Step 1) Wash your Steel Sheet
Step 2) Return to Step 1

Thank you for your fast reply. I just wrote an email to the Prusa support.
The fan blades are turning freely and the screws don't seem to be overtightened. It sounds like a faulty or worn off bearing and some kind of resonance as the noises are strongly dependent on fan speed.
