i3 MK3S looses xyz calibration after printing
I've been trying to prototype an assembly and after the print finishes, the i3 seems to loose all of it's calibration data. When I go to reprint, the printer starts its pre-print calibration routine somewhere in the middle of the X-Axis and the routine fails when the print head ends up off the print bed on the right side. During a previous calibration routine, the Z-Axis motor drove the print head into the steel sheet on the bed. It was strong enough to make a divot. Has anyone seen anything like this before? This is my first time on the forum, and I looked for posts on this but I didn't exactly know what to search for. If there's already a topic about this, please let me know. I my post title was one of my queries.
Cheers,
Jason
RE: i3 MK3S looses xyz calibration after printing
Update: So I ran through the set-up wizard again after resetting the printer and power cycling it. The first time it worked fine. Then the printer "lost" its X-Axis calibration again, so I went through the wizard again and it failed to find its calibration points. So I power cycled it again, unplugged it, and waited a few minutes before turning it on again. The printer could find all the calibration points this time, but on the second round of Z-Axis adjustment, it homed close to the lower right corner of the bed, and threw an error during the 9-point test. I decided to move the X-Axis manually and it seems that the X-Axis "thinks" its zero is in the lower right-hand corner after doing the test print routine. I have no idea what's going on here. I think I'm going to flash the firmware next.

New Update: I flashed the printer and ran the set-up wizard. Now I'm getting an X-Axis length error.

Move without power, all asis to all sides till the end.
Look if it is hitting something, like cable ties, if the extruder cannot do the distance it needs to go, you get problems.
Do all axis. ther is not a lot of room if you assemble it wrong.

I drama also get this problems.
I am investigation now. But i did not have this issues before FW update . So I may flash back to older one.

@jnoondam
Hi , standard questions - how long time did it work before your troubles? Is it your first print. Which callibration did fail xyz or your first layer callibration. Did you pass through the callibration wizzard successfuly?
Please describe a bit more about yourself and the issue.
Did you assemble the printer yourself? Try help.prusa3d.com to find answer for your issue. There are a lot of advises.

RE: i3 MK3S looses xyz calibration after printing
Sorry, I was finishing grad school when I started this thread. I solved the problem, then completely forgot about my post. The solution is just to rerun the mesh bed leveling calibration, which also resets the x, y, and z axis position values. I find that this solves most axis issues. Just posting here so people can use the answer if they run into similar issues.
