How to unlock the threshold overhang value in Expert mode?

I updated the firmware and Slicer to 2.4.2 and cannot unlock the threshold overhang value under print settings/support materials in Slicer. Any suggestions on how to get it to unlock? It is locked at a default of 50.

Thank you!

I have a mks3+ that is operating wonderfully.

Please save your project file (File>Save Project as) from PS.  Then take the saved .3mf file and ZIP it up.  Then attach the zip to a reply here.  Must be zipped for the forum to accept the file.

With a project file we can check ALL the settings you are using.  It will probably be something really simple.  Like do you have supports turned on ?  Have you set for support enforcers only ?  Have you turned on auto support generation ?  Etc etc.  That threshold is only used when PS is automatically generating the supports as its that angle that determines where the support algorithm thinks needs supports.

Personally I find using the paint on enforcer tool is much better.  As you can set the painted area by angle anyway and then adjust as needed using human judgement.  You also get a clear visualisation of where it thinks the angles are.  Then you just set for support enforcers only and adjust the support type/settings from there.

I was able to change the overhang threshold setting once I saved the file to my desktop as a .3mf and reopened the sliced file. I just find it odd that I cannot override the default of 50 when I initially open a STL file in PS and move from the Plater tab to the Print Settings/Support Material sub directory. The overhang threshold setting is third down from the top.

**I do paint on custom enforcers, but I am printing a droid and the instructions specifically state to change the overhang setting from 50 to 65 on the Print Settings tab.
