How to identify original Gates belts from Prusa Research
Hi everyone,
in Josef's latest blog post he writes that new MK3 orders ship with original Gates GT2 belts.
My MK3 is from January - its belts are not so good quality - beneath the belts is black dust everywhere.
So I would like to upgrade my belts to better belts. I asked in chat Prusa support. They say the X and Y belts in the replacement parts section of the store are the new Gates belts.
Sadly the store information does not show that fact in any way. So there are my questions:
1. How can I recognize and identify the original gates belts? My chinesium belts are just black with nothing printed on them etc.
2. Has someone ordered a replacement belt lately and can confirm the replacement belt was the original Gates belt?
3. Has someone received a MK3 in the last 1 to 2 weeks? Are your belts original Gates belts?
Any advise is greatly appreciated.
