How long should Drylin bearings normally last?

Installed these things last weekend on the Y axis along with a 16 toothed idler pulley using parts from this thread:
https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=13851

The Y axis was extremely smooth and quiet so I was happy because that was the goal :D.

Fast forward one week of small prints in the evenings and one 18 hour print that finished a little while ago. The Y axis now sounds like it's riding on 80 grit sandpaper and the amount of play both horizontally and vertically is silly. 👿

I purchased a pack of ten with intentions of eventually making the same mods to the X axis. Not so sure now. Can these things possibly wear out THAT quick?!?! Fortunately they're not very expensive but still I'm not thrilled. For now I suppose it's back to the original ones

Has anyone else had an experience like this with Drylin bearings?

How did you affix them to your Y frame?

These:

which worked very well with the linear ball bearings.

I think those straps might be part of the problem with the Drylin's. They seem to have an ever so slightly larger OD so they couldn't be fully snugged up to the Y carriage with the straps. Tight enough, or so I thought. I may remix the straps at some point to see if I can make the Drylin's work. I did not try the u-bolts with the Drylin's but regardless they do have more slop than I would like.

I still do not know what the abrasive type sound was. My guess is that some filament strings got in there and since they are open ended, maybe. I really don't know.

I've reverted to the steel bearings and calibrating now. They're freshly re-packed with grease and using the straps again. They seem to be working well, for now.

It looks like Igus application notes suggest pressing the Drylin bushings into a 15 -0.00/+0.04 mm bore. That's a tough tolerance to meet. I made these and so far they've worked well for me:

Thanks @sasha.z. Those looke good and next time the Y axis comes apart I very well may give them a go. Thanks for sharing!

BTW, I figured out what the grinding sound is I was hearing. The 16 tooth idler! Cheap bearings and not on a proper shafted bolt; it was riding on the threads which I thought would be fine. Replaced the idler and the bold with (a longer one than needed but works) from the kit extras. We'll see how this holds up.

Just found these by someone else; they seem like an even-better solution:
