How Can I Quiet This Thing Down?!?
My printer is driving me crazy, during fairly quick XY movements it vibrates the Z axis frame. If I put just a tiny amount of torque on the upper right hand side of the Z frame it quiets down perfectly. Everything is tight and aligned. Has anyone had a similar issue and solved it?

Try setting the printer down on a solid surface (e.g. a concrete floor) and see if the noise is reduced. It's possible you're getting resonant vibrations off the surface the printer sits on which can lead to amplification of the noise. Acoustically coupling the printer to the mass maximizes the vibration dampening effect. Do not isolate the printer from the base. Felt non-isolating feet work well.

De-couple the printer mass from the resonating surfaces. Isolating foam or Sorbothane feet work well to keep any remaining vibration from being transmitted into the flat supporting surfaces.

I was having issues with my MK 3+ transmitting printer noise (vibrations) through the desk and the floor so you could hear the printer on the first floor which drove my family crazy. I tried some of the remedies posted but to no avail. I came across "Acoustic Sound Isolation Foam Pad Platform" by KyleUSA.com. This is a sound isolation platform used with guitar amps. I bought the PSI15 which fit my machine perfectly. Since I put my machine on the acoustic platform, you don't even know the printer is running. I have about 250 hours on this setup and my family can't tell when it's printing unless you are in the room where the printer is actually working.
