Hotend that came with the kit had no thermal paste between heatbreak and heatsink

I have a kit MK3S+.

I had contact with Prusa support on some print problems and had to take my hotend (E3D V6) apart. I noticed there is no thermal paste applied on the threads of the heatbreak that go inside the heatsink.

This surprised me as it is not an optional step in the E3D V6 assembly manual, and it is also mentioned regularly on the Prusa site that thermal paste should be there. I'm not sure if the hotend came pre-assembled from E3D or it was assembled by Prusa, but I wonder if this occurs more often?

And how much of an issue is it in terms of potential print quality? My nozzle never got clogged, but I did experience gaps in prints. I won't go into detail about that problem as it is being addressed already, but I am just wondering if more people had subtle print issues with hotends that didn't have any thermal paste.
