Hot end wire ripped out
I was working on a large print (about 20 small individual prints all at once) that kept failing on the first layer and breaking lose leading to plastic build-up on the hot-end. As i was pulling the plastic off, i hit a particularly stubborn chunk that upon pulling out i discovered was one of the wires going into the hotend to record temp. How can i fix this? the hotend now reads as 0 permanently. can the wirse be pulled out of the hotend and replaced? can i strip whats left and solder it back on?
Re: Hot end wire ripped out
Did you find a solution? I also have the same issue. Just debating whether or not I should attempt to solder the wires back on or order a new hot end.
Re: Hot end wire ripped out
depending on how it broke you might be able to solder it. or just order a new temp probe. think its 9 bucks
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

Replace the thermistor (and cable). Solder that near to the hot end is a bad idea (It can melt).
