Hot end Fan Speed

I recently purchased a second i3 MK3S+ to supplement my nearly 4-year-old i3 MK3S. I have actually had a bit of trouble maintaining steady temps on the new one compared to the old one, but with a firmware update it is getting better. One difference I have noticed is that the hot end fan on the new one is MUCH quieter. After some investigation, it appears to be running at the correct 4200 rpm. The hot end fan on my old one is running at a blistering 8400 rpm. I can't seem to find much info on the subject (at least for the MK3), but was wondering if there is a reasonable way to adjust this speed and if this may be why my older printer seems to be able to hold a rock steady hot end temp. I really don't mind the increased noise if it will produce a more consistent result.

Thanks.
