Heating disable by safety timer
I had a print running last night, and when I woke up I found the printer was stopped with a message on the screen "Heating disabled by safety timer". Visually, there is nothing I can see that interrupted the print other than it just stopped.
What is this error?
I was running the print from octopi, and noticed that the octopi web interface had a "reload" button on it this morning. Does octopi auto update and reboot? Is this a possible connection?
Re: Heating disable by safety timer
that error occurs if nothing is giving instructions to the printer (via sd or octo) for 30 minutes and the hot end is heating.
I would guess you are correct that the octo might have lost connection to the printer.
there should be a log you can check
Re: Heating disable by safety timer
This makes heatsoaking a Printbite print surface problematic! Since it needs to run for 1 hour, two times. With a damp cloth on it.

@chris-22
Is there a way to resume heating so the print can continue?
RE: Heating disable by safety timer
Maybe heat the print bed in your oven and then carry it over to the printer? Or a heat gun?

I suppose I could. Detach the extruder from the printer to put in the over and when it gets to 210 degrees I can very quickly, reattach it, and resume the print. I should have thought of that earlier.
