Heatbreak getting loose from heatsink

Hi, on my mk3s after printing a couple of filament roll my heatsink gets loose from the heatbreak. The heatbreak can rotate by hand (however it is constrained by the heating cardrige cable), nozzle and heater block are still tight.

After getting the hotend out and retightening the heatsink (by hand) i'm good to go for another couple of roll but i'm wondering if this is a normal behavior. I tried to find some information about how hard the heatsink should be tightened (for example here https://help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/how-to-replace-a-heatbreak-heatsink-heaterblock-mk3s-mk3s-mk2-5s-mmu2s_16104) but failed to do so.

RE: Heatbreak getting loose from heatsink

Step 15 in the E3D V6 assembly instructions only mentions hand tightening. If you follow that procedure when assembling the hotend, the heatsink can't be screwed into the heatsink any further. What I have seen happen is that the user does not properly brace the heater block in step 26. If the block is rotated, it can unscrew the heatbreak and, depending on exactly how everything winds up tightened back together, create a filament leak. The Prusa instructions didn't help by recommending turning the block slightly when changing nozzles. Ignore the Prusa directions for that step.

If things get screwy, it is safest to pull the hotend out and ensure it's back together securely. From your description, I'd make sure the heatbreak is in tight in step 15 and that the block is immobilized in step 26 before inserting the nozzle.

Hope this makes sense. Good luck with it.
