Heatbed Tripping power out.
Hi, after a successful print I started the second print from the sd card and as soon as I did the printer restarted.
After a couple of tries I decided to heat the nozzle via the settings menu and it heated up no problem BUT when I heated the bed via the settings menu it instantly tripped out and reset the printer.
Any Ideas???

Sounds like you have a short somewhere on the heatbed cabling. You need to carefully check the wire run, both ends (bed and control board) and make sure nothing is touching. Also remove your steel plate and using a good light examine the bed itself for damage.
The heat bed is basically just a big copper pcb covered with an insulating layer. When power is applied the tracks of the pcb as as resistors, resistors carrying current get hot, so one big bed heater. If there is a short between 2 close tracks that could cause it too but my first guess would be the wiring.

The bed itself is perfect condition. After checking the connections and wiring run I found nothing that gives me any concern so maybe I should replace the run of wire anyway.??

Looks can be deceiving. I just had my issue with heatbed mintemp error. If you haven't got it yet, expect it to come if your prints stop and you start getting the error. Since I do not want to pay for shipping and handling of a $5.00 piece of wire. I did what some others do to circumvent the issue with heatbed thermistor. I cut the wires and checked the voltage with a multimeter at the near end of the wire to the heat bed and no reading. I then cut the wire just outside the cpu housing where the wire curved to see if the break was there and then checked voltage to the remaining wire connected to the cpu. I found voltage. Somewhere along the wire that I removed there was a break. I did like another user and cut old wall wart(power adapter) and soldered the wires onto the wire from the heat bed and onto the wire connecting to the cpu. I made sure there was plenty of length as I am going to print a modified cover to replace the stock cover to the wires connecting to the heatbed. I then checked the voltage and I got voltage. Now my mintemp bed error is gone and showing the bed heating and I did not have to remove the thermistor as I did not want to fool with buying kapton tape and what not. Now the problem is with the x axis which I am going to put up a thread so if you know how to troubleshoot it feel free to help me. I really think it is due to the new firmware update. I have had problems since I upgraded to the recent firmware.

Problem fixed. I replaces the full length of wire with some 16 Gauge silicone insulated wire 200 degrees rated.
I tested the wire I had removed and when wiggled there was a continuity error so there must be a break somewhere in the wire but I cant feel it.
All is working well now and to check i heated the bed to maximum and felt the wiring a few times during a 3 hour print which I monitored fully. No issues so I am happy I have fixed the problem. 😀 😀
