Heatbed thermistor E3D Einsy board connector

My thermistor connector broke, I'm assuming I did it during setup. Will cutting the bad connector off and putting a new one on affect the readings? If replacing it wont cause a problem, does anyone happen to know the connector type?

Cheers,

Moe

They are cheap/  I would just buy another.  Once you buy a crimper and parts, how much would you save?

No - but make sure you have the correct pins and crimper, too.  You can usually remove the old pins from the shell by depressing the locking tabs of the old pins. You'll just need new pins.

@tim-2

Thank you! I am double checking I have the right connector and a crimping tool for the pins

Here's the BOM for the male header: just find the matching female parts.

In Europe a new thermistor costs under 10 euros, easier to buy one, but fixing it should solve the problem if you can.

Thanks! I'm just setting mine up for the first time and found the connector had broken. I have some molex connectors and crimper already. I just wanted to make sure I had the correct parts.

@cwbullet

I already have the crimper. I'm now going through my parts to see if I had the right terminal.

Thanks! I'm checking my parts. I believe I already have the molex connector (variety pack from working on rPi projects).
