Heatbed Thermistor came loose
I came home to an error Headbed Thermal Runaway. Found the heatbed thermistor had worked its way loose from the tape under the bed and all the slack was in the electronics box. So, I took things apart and put them back together per the installation guide (i.e. wrapped the thermistor cable around the heater cables a few times.) When I came back tonight, I found that it walked itself out of the tape again.
Is there a better way to secure this cable so that it won't walk out of the tape due to bed movement? I've now zip tied both ends and twice along the cable in hopes that this will keep the cable from coming loose. Why does following the directions on this part result in this cable being pulled loose?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Tim
Re: Heatbed Thermistor came loose
are you using spiral wrap cable cover?
if so, try braided cable covering

Re: Heatbed Thermistor came loose
It's not the spiral, plastic, cable wrap. I just received this printer a few weeks ago and it has the fabric-style cable wrap.
Re: Heatbed Thermistor came loose
perhaps superglue? the heat bed should not get hot enough to release it
Re: Heatbed Thermistor came loose
I've been printing non-stop the last few days and there hasn't been any travel in the thermistor wire. My fix was to zip tie it at each end and then 2 more times evenly spaced from the ends. I then wrapped the wires with the braided cable wrap and zip tied the end closest to the heat bed, leaving the end closest to the electronics loose so it can move if needed.
Thank you for your suggestions.
