Heat caused extrusion problem

Hey i just got my I3 MK3S,

PLA works like a dream for me without any problems.
Now i tried TPU (Flexfill 98A).
At first glance its works great, but after ~10 min of printing , my Extrudergears + Extruder motor reaches a heat level that causes the TPU to soften and causing extrusion problems.

Any ideas? is it just the Filament thats bad or is this a serious problem?
Is it common or just my printers extruder gears/motor thats gettin hot? 👿

help plz

Re: Heat caused extrusion problem

I put heat sinks on all my motors, this helps A LOT! I know many will say its more "psycosomatic" and i am only imagining, but i am obsessed with keeping things cool.

Many of the original prusa extruder parts that came with my printer have warped around the extruder, and have become so soft, i can bend them.

One of the many reasons i upgraded to Bondtech parts.

Buy some cheapo hit sinks ( i got them for $3 each from spool3d.com in Canada), stick them on all of your motors

Now, all my motors are almost cool to the touch!

This solved all my TPU problems...
TPU now prints like its nothing.
Prusa rly should improve on this on future versions!
