Glitchy Controller
Well, just lost a 30 minute first layer due to a controller glitch. 🙄
It had just started the second layer and I saw that it could use a touch more extrusion. I bumped it to 105% and watched. Okay, let's try 108%...
Somewhere in the sequence of going to tune > flow > 108% the print head just stopped. I thought "no way I bumped pause print". Then I see this mound of extruded filament growing. The extruder drive is still running at full speed, with the printhead stopped. I try to stop print and the controller reboots. Lovely.
Other times at the beginning of prints, right after mesh leveling and before the prime line is printed, I have had the print head stop. Pressing the controller button once has jump started it into a successful print. That has happened twice already and I haven't had the printer for a week.
I have been creating custom firmware versions for my modified Ultimaker Original for 6 years now and have never seen such glitchy operation. 😳
