Gaps in filament feed - need help please

I am very new to this hobby and any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have a new Prusa Mk3s and it worked great for the first couple of filament spools.  I have cleaned the machine and checked fasteners a couple of times and all seem to be mechanically ok.  All of a sudden my prints stared having blobs and problems where I needed to stop the prints.  When I do a first layer calibration now there are gaps in the lines where filament does not seem to be feeding.

I am stumped by this.  I replaced the nozzle and when I look at the feed gear everything looks good with nothing stuck anywhere that I can see.  Any suggestions that anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

A simple thing to check would be the grub screws in the BondTech gear. Make sure the gear is not slipping - and both screws are tight.

You are using the textured plate - which can be challenging for a beginner. You have probably read the drill by now - scrub with lots of hot water and unscented dish detergent. Dry with a fresh paper towel. And never touch the print area.

(from the way it looks - I don't think this problem is a lack of adhesion. If it were - that extruded filament would be - somewhere.)

Another possibility is you fitted the nozzle incorrectly when replacing it.  ANY slight gap between the nozzle and heatbreak (which join inside the heatblock where you cant see it) leads to uneven pressure.

Make sure you follow the E3D assembly guide to the letter when replacing a nozzle.
