First layer calibration problem (bad rectangle)

Hello,

No matter wich Z calibration I choose, the rectangles printed during the calibration are pretty weird. See picture attached.

I have recalibrate everything and cold pull the filament but to no avail.

Do you have any idea how I an fix this ? (I can't print anymore, everything is mixed up :-))

Thanks a lot !

Olivier

That's way too high.  You must go much lower (more negative value) to get it to squish to the plater properly.  What is your current Live Z value ?

No pics attached, probably because it's your first post. Try again.

Agreed, @neophyl is right.

At the end of the calibration you are aiming to print a single layer postage stamp sized *sheet*. It should be possible to peel it off in one and fold it without the threads seperating. If it breaks into lines it is too high, not squished enough. If it is a single sheet but with wavy lines or drag marks on it you are too low.

Cheerio,

Thank you very much !!

My previous settings was in the -0.8 and now it seems after recalibration I need -1.20 !

Looks like you'll end up somewhere around -1.26 ... that build sheet needs cleaning.

Me again,

Sorry to take your time but I get this kind of print whereas a few weeks ago it was pretty fine. I thought it was a question of calibration but it seems not.

Do you have any idea ? (I'm using Geetech PLA, white, temperature 215).

Thanks a lot,

Olivier

(I have a friend who have the same issue with this piece. He thinks it's due to high humidity.)
