Firmware Updates

to make my first firmware update in my printer, I have install the slicer on my MacBook, but I never been able to update the firmware.

I have also installed it on my PC, but from my PC, the update have work without a problem.

It’s normal that I have not be able to update via my MacBook? This will be easier for me to be able to make the update from it, because, to update from my PC, I have to move my printer every time.

RE: Firmware Updates

Perhaps describing the process and any errors you encounter or messages you are shown will be informative in providing an answer. Right now people can only guess at what might be wrong.

RE: Firmware Updates

Next firmware update I will try again with my MacBook, and post the error. But normally, it’s possible to make the update via a Mac?

RE: Firmware Updates

I don't see why not; I've updated mine with no issues on Linux once I added my user account to the serial port permissions group.

RE: Firmware Updates

Yes, firmware updates via MacOS work fine. I updated my MK3 to an MK3S on the weekend and flashed the firmware update from my USB connected MacBook using the new PrusaSlicer 2.0.

RE: Firmware Updates

I had no problem with my MacMini, too. PrusaSlicer 2.0, btw.
