Firmware update unsuccessful and LOTS of problems i3 MK2

Hi guys I've been having some issues with my Prusa.

I just recently was able to solve a host of seemingly assembly related calibration issues (mesh bed leveling and Z calibration bumping into bed randomely) by updating the firmware. And XYZ calibration before the problems started worked and calibrated for the skew; however after the problems started, it fails to find the first point.
Anyway, after updating the firmware, all those problems went away, and I was able to finally get a few successful prints. However, I ran Z calibration, and then suddenly all those same problems started up again.

So I decided to try to update the firmware again to solve the problem again, and then just simply planned to not mess with the calibration after I got the pritner to work. It has been giving me calibration problems since I bought it used and preassembled nearly 6 months ago. I haven't gotten out more than a handful of successful prints since.

However this popped up when I updated hte firmware (to 3.2.1) just a few minutes ago. The updater on my computer said the firmware has been updated successfully, but the printer is stuck on this one screen, whether I turn it on, or off, or hold the reset.

Is there any way to hard reset my prusa or any suggestions you might have?? Thank you guys!

Sorry to say and I do not mean it in a bad way.

But it seems you confuse the Prusa Models. As you point out, yours is a MK2. But Firmware 3.2.1 is NOT for MK2 - but for 2.5 and 3. Also, you posted in the forum for the MK3:-)

I would advise you to flash the correct firmware and then ask your question again in the MK2 forum:-)

Best of luck!

XYZ calibration before the problems started worked and calibrated for the skew; however after the problems started, it fails to find the first point.

These sound like pinda issues. and as pointed out you have flashed a firmware for another machine.
I would try to reflash with the correct firmware but you might need a new control board and maybe a pinda

Re: Firmware update unsuccessful and LOTS of problems i3 MK2

Hi guys,
My mistake on the firmware confusion. And thank you all so much for the fast response. However, I reflashed the Correct firmware this time (3.1.0) and that was successful. However, the printer now refuses to perform an XYZ calibration, even though in the past it passed the XYZ calibration and the skew was accounted for. Nothing about the printer mechanically has changed since then - it's all in the software, which for me is very finicky and glitchy - like I said earlier, occasionally, after a new firmware flash or stroke of luck, the printer works fine - but normally it fails to pass XYZ calibration, meshbed leveling results in it crashing into the bed on its 4th calibration point.
So at this point I have tried reseting the firmware / board with the button on the top of the Rambomini board, and reseting All Data through the series of button commands (performing a Factory Reset). Every single time the XYZ calibration fails on the first point.

If you have any help or advice I would greatly appreciate it!!! Otherwise, would my best bet be to ask prusa for / buy a new RamboMini Board?

i think you really want to ask this question in the mk2 forum rather than the mk3. I also think the error message you get when it fails would be a good thing to add.
